How profile availability works

Availability is a recent signal, not a promise that someone is free for a particular shift. Confirm the dates and schedule directly before making plans.

Stale profiles are paused

A profile without a timely availability confirmation is automatically hidden from search after nine days without confirmation.

Keeping a profile current

Helpers who opt in can receive a weekly WhatsApp prompt to confirm whether they are still looking for work. They can also manage their profile status in the app.

  • A confirmation can become out of date when a helper accepts work, changes plans, or stops using the app.
  • A helper can pause a profile manually when they are not looking.
  • If a profile does not receive a timely availability confirmation, it is automatically hidden from search after the app's follow-up period. The current system pauses stale profiles after nine days without confirmation.

Before you request contact

Check the profile details and ask whether the helper is available for your specific role, location, start date, hours and arrangement. Discuss the proposed pay and duties before agreeing to meet.

  • A status such as available now is not a booking, employment offer, or guarantee that the helper will accept your terms.
  • Search results show profiles that are published and eligible to appear at the time you search; results can change.

For helpers

Keep your contact details and profile accurate. Confirm availability only if you are still open to work, and pause your profile if you want to stop appearing in search.
